Job Description

Under new ownership and located in Cleveland, OH, Action Controls is a systems integration firm and an established leader in commercial and institutional security systems serving OH and its contiguous states. We are seeking a quality, skilled technician to become the next member of our growing security integration technical team. Not only do we take extreme pride in what we do, we have fun! Your technical and customer service skills are what we need in a technician! Candidates should be honest, conscientious, self-motivated, well organized, and have a solid technical background.

Our target candidate will have 3 plus years of industry experience, with at least 2 years as a lead technician on the installation and servicing of integrated fire and security systems. We will provide an opportunity for additional training and skills for the installation and servicing of integrated systems. Knowledge of major brands of access control and video surveillance systems, both hardware and software are required. Strong computer software and networking skills are also required. Primary Functions:

- Install and Service Fire Alarm, Access Control and Security Cameras to specification

- Responsible for quality assurance

- Responsible for project completion schedules

- Timely completion and processing of required paperwork

- Representing Action Controls in a professional positive manner

- Customer service, satisfaction and communication

- Follow Safety rules and good driving habits

- Follow Action Controls’ policies and procedures

- Promoting Action Controls’ products and services

- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills Requirements:

- Customer oriented interpersonal skills
- Technical and/or Mechanical knowledge and abilities
- Understand relay logic
- Understand basic electronic principles
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and schematics
- Must be willing to attend training sessions
- Must be able to pass any required Certification sessions
- Must be able to travel

Essential Functions:

- Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend acceptable business English
- Must maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Must have basic mathematical skills
- Must have and maintain a Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record
- Must be Vehicle Insurable by Action Controls’ insurance carrier
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75-lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders to heights reaching a minimum of 12 feet
- Must be able to access and tolerate small crawl spaces
- Must be able to recognize safety alarm sounds and sights

- Ohio Fire License
- Ohio Backflow License
- Ohio Sprinkler License
- Ohio Pre-Engineered License
