Position: Sprinkler Apprentice

Sprinkler Apprentices are responsible for assisting foreman and fitters in the installation of fire protection systems. Sprinkler Apprentices are also enrolled and making progress in the AFSA?s Apprenticeship Program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Distribute the piping and accessories from the truck to the designated material lay down area.
2. Keeping each lay down area organized and stocked with each item required.
3. Clean-up job site.
4. Clean-up tools.
5. Understand FLSA?s Safety program, MSDS book, Hazardous communication program, policies and procedures. Toolbox talks are mandatory reading within the first week of employment. Helpers must know where all related safety documentation is at all times on each project.
6. Sprinkler helpers are expected to be making progress in their fire protection education with tools provided by FLSA.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma, GED, secondary education or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
