Sentinel Security and Communications, a General Security Inc. Company, has an immediate position available for a general manager to join our team. We are actively looking for a qualified individual to manage our branch location in Buffalo, N.Y.
Sentinel/General Security-is nationally ranked #28 in a widely recognized Industry publication, Security Distributing & Marketing Magazine (SDM). The publication ranks the top 100 Security Dealers in the Country on an annual basis.
Responsibilities:
• Create a team environment and enjoyable work atmosphere, building on work attitude and work ethics. Must oversee of all aspects of employment of Branch personnel - including hiring and firing, salaries and wages, scheduling, productivity, quality of work, training, and time management.
• Maintain and expand market segments in both the commercial and residential marketplace. Utilize existing Access Control, Security, Fire and CCTV product lines to maintain existing client base and cultivate new client relationships.
• Insure that all customer service calls, questions or needs handled in a proper and timely fashion;
• Work in conjunction with our Central station manager to ensure continuous operations of our alarm monitoring services.
• Review and approve all expenses and services, including, but not limited to, rent, telephone, and electric;
• Review, approve, and certify staff payroll;
• Insure that all new jobs have been properly contracted, and meet with the Company’s credit requirements. Approve all sales and installations generated by sales and technical staff.
• Insure that all work is performed in accordance with Company policy;
• Supervise the purchase of parts and equipment, and insure that the appropriate records and purchase order numbers are being used;
• Review on a regular basis the performance of all personnel, including Sales Representatives, Installers, Service Technicians, Telemarketers (if any), and Office Personnel.
• Formulate marketing and sales strategies, with the goal of increasing monthly production and recurring revenue.
• Train all new Sales Representatives in accordance with the Company’s guidelines.
Job Requirements
Education, training, experience:
- We are seeking an individual with substantial management experience.
- Experience in the commercial and residential security industry is preferred.
- College degree also preferred but not required depending upon experience level.
