Southeast Extinguisher Service provides fire extinguisher services, fire alarm services, special hazards services, first aid, CPR and fire extinguisher training and first aid and safety supplies. We have been providing services in Southeast Alaska and across the State since 2000. We are looking for a technician who is looking for a rewarding career and puts quality, integrity and customer safety first in their work. Relocation assistance is available.

Job duty include providing technical services to our customers on Fire Safety systems (fire alarms and/or clean agent, dry chemical, marine and restaurant fire systems), including the installation and commissioning of new or expanded systems; performs system modifications as necessary; conducts regular testing and inspections of systems; and performs troubleshooting and repairs as needed. The successful applicant must be able to identify code and non-conformance issues, make recommendations regarding system installations and service/repairs, and have the necessary certifications to perform the tasks independently. The job requires relocation to Juneau, Alaska and may also require travel on unconventional means of transportation (small planes, helicopters, and boats) to remote locations and small communities.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:

NICET Level II Special Hazard Certifications or pass the State Of Alaska pre-engineered test. Must be able to pass criminal history check, driving check, and drug testing (FAA and DOT). Good customer service skills. Good verbal and written communications skills. Skilled in PC applications. Ability to lift seventy-five (75) pounds unassisted. The Technician shall have a minimum of two years work experience with wet chemical fire suppression systems and be certified by NICET Level II or have passed the NICET tests for Special Hazard systems or be able to pass the State of Alaska pre-engineered test. This position requires extensive travel to remote job sites.
